SQL Server 2005 Support
Question
Hi.
Since Agile Platform 6, SQL Server 2005 is not listed in the system requirements documents.
Is there any problem using SQL Server 2005 with Agile Platform 6 or 7?
Btw, and Windows Server 2003?
Thanks.

Hi Carlos
The reason why the SQL Server 2005 is no longer listed on the Agile Platform 6 and 7 system requirements, is because it's no longer supported on those versions of the Agile Platform, since the mainstream support for SQL Server also ended (https://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/search/?sort=PN&alpha=SQL) and we already support SQL Server 2008 R1 & R2, and have introduced the SQL Server 2012 support on 7.0.1.5+.
Regardless of any problems that it may or not have, we cannot guarantee that SQL Server 2005 will work properly as we have no quality control over that setup scenario. You can use SQL Server 2005 with Agile Platform 6 or 7 at your own risk.
Regarding Windows 2003, we still support Windows 2003 R2 on Agile Platform version 6 and 7, as well as Windows 2008 R2.

Thanks.
I only asked this because we still have some clients with SQL Server 2005 (paid license) and they want to upgrade their platform to 7.0.
