There is still a lot of Traditional Web Applications out there that need to be maintained, extended and in due time migrated. If you have TWA knowledge on top of RWA knowledge you are more intresting for companies that develop with OutSystems, especially if they already use outsystems for longsr thsn RWA was introduced

If starting a new project I would suggest user reactive. Otherwise convert  traditional to reactive. the reactive model is more like the mobile PWA (Progressive web app) model (except form locale  storage). So learning mobile or reactive exams are most use full. ODC could be an option too.

Hey Priya Naveen,

It can still be useful, depending on the job/tasks/projects you're working on. For instance, over the past few months, I've been migrating some client apps from Traditional to Reactive or ODC. In this case, having basic knowledge of Traditional and understanding how it differs from other frameworks has been really important to execute the migration effectively. So, having the Traditional certification, in this case, would definitely be a plus. But again, it depends on the specific situation.

Best regards, Ana

I recommend the Associate Reactive Developer exam for the following reasons:

  1. It is the most recent development technology, and the Traditional one has already been deprecated.
  2. Based on my experience, I have attempted both exams. I didn’t pass the Traditional one, but I was able to pass the Reactive exam with a high score.
  3. A quick search on LinkedIn shows more job opportunities for Reactive compared to Traditional.

If you need more information to prepare for the exam, feel free to ask!

The decision between the Associate Developer and Associate Reactive Developer exams should be based on your goals, not on which is easier. To give the best advice, it’s important to clarify your career objectives—whether you're focusing on traditional web applications or looking to specialize in reactive web development. Once your goals are clear, you can choose the certification that best aligns with your career path and future projects.

In the Associate Developer and Associate Reactive Developer most of the topics are common but the some of the concepts differ from both of you.

Associate Developer : It is purely on traditional development. Now a days people use reactive web application because of compatibly.

Associate Reactive Developer: It is purely on reactive web.
One challenge for you that if your organization using traditional web and till need further in traditional web go a head with Associate Developer otherwise upgrade to  Associate Reactive Developer.
