DBCleaner: how can I stop it ?

Hi, we've launched DBCleaner but it's a lot of hours of execution to delete the old processes and we don't have any indication about what has been done, how to interrupt this execution and how much time still is needed to complete. Is there anyone that came across this problem? in this condition it is not recommended to use it in a critical environment..

When you use the DBCleaner for deleting old modules or processes it's asynchronous. Just refresh the page and you should be able to see that the count has reduced.

btw you can go to Processes -> Select BPT's older than:  (0.1) & Weeks you should be able to see all the process executed by DBCleaner.

Thanks Siya. But it seems that is not possible to stop the execution, as it dramatically affect the performance of the environment.

Could you please share a screenshot of the processes from DBCleaner? Also, is the count increasing or decreasing?

Hi @lorenzo costa ,

If any process or execution thread got stuck within your environment, you can raise a support ticket against it. They will definitely help you with that if that request got stuck or running for long time and you have no visibility.

or check the below document to restart the services.

Hi, thanks for the heads-up. The problem is that once it's a direct DB request also restarting services seems to be harder to do. Anyway, now the execution is completed and it took several hours (maybe 10 hours).

Another strange thing is that I fail to find how the number of process/items that DB Cleaner is going to delete could match with the number of process that I can monitor from ServiceCenter. I expected to find the same number considering also for example the closed instances of the process, but this is not what I got.

HI @lorenzo costa ,

Good to hear that its completed. Not sure you are using DB cleaner or DB Cleaner on Steroids.  I was working with one of the outsystems staff expert, he recommended to clean up in batches and not all at once as it takes too much of time.
We were using DB cleaner on Steroids and below snapshot shows the difference if we increase the weeks, and we deleted in batches week by week it was pretty fast

Not sure if this tip will help for future references.
