I've just started the becoming a web developer guided path and the bootstrap entity and data from an excel file exercise is showing an error.
After amending the phone number attribute, the data displays as 0 in the phone number column. We are asked to edit and enter a list of phone numbers for the employees table and apply.
However, when I click apply it comes up with error '9 records couldn't be applied'. The error report shows 'Some records couldn't be updated. You don't have permissions to perform this operation. For more information, check the Service Center error logs.'
Where do I go from here? I don't have access to Service Center, to my knowledge. And this error does not appear on the training.
Many thanks
Hi,
You can open the service center from service studio. enter the same credential which you are used in service studio,
Thanks

Hi @Emma Spring,
For this you add a column in Excel call phone no
And add a attribute with same name in your entity after that Bootstrap again this updated Excel.
For Error check in Service center:
Click on the highlighted icon and login with your service studio credentials than you will get service center app. Hope this will help you!!! Regards, Rajat
Thanks both. And apologies, I'm a total beginner so am struggling to make sense of this.
I have got into the Service Center but it doesn't show any error log for this particular error
I have followed the instructions from the guided path to the letter
so unsure why I would get this error:As this is training, would they not specify if data needed to be amended in the excel that was supplied?
Hi @Emma Spring ,
I believe you may have the same issue like in this post
I did try to see what I can do. The person who posted it even shared an oml file (outsystems module) to me but the error didn’t happen.
Maybe you can try the following:
1. Have you tried recreating the entities
2. How about trying to create a new account and generating a new environment?
3. If you are connected to any VPN or some Firewall/Gateway/LB, can you try to connect directly to the internet instead?
If none of these works for you, I suggest reaching out to OutSystems support:

Many thanks Bryan. I will try your suggestions and if still no luck, will raise to support.
Yes, the other forum question does seem a copy of the issue I am experiencing.
I have tried re-adding the entities, creating a new environment and ensuring I am not connected to a VPN but the error persists.
I have now raised a support ticket.
An update for anyone who might be interested :) It seems this is a work network issue. I tried logging into my environment on my home laptop using my home network connection and no longer received the error.
I have been advised to contact my local work IT dept to look at the proxy/firewall.
Thanks again to all those who took the time to offer me advice, much appreciated!
