It would be nice, to automatically create the assign and fill the respective variable, after drag and drop an variable to an action flow.

Example attached.

I like the idea and would like to add a thing to it:

Drag and drop the variable to the assign place. On this way it's also possible to set is as an value in the assign. It's possible now, but it's only getting in the order that you drag it. Would be nice to drag it to the place you want it.

See modified screenshot :)
Hi, Evert.

Establishing an order on Draging'n'Dropping it would be nice, good point.

Nowadays, you need to drag first, the assign component to the action flow and then Drag and drop the variable to the assign place.
My idea it's basically eliminate the first step, it should be possible drag the variable to the flow and the assign component and the variable were automatically set there.

Hi Rebecca.

I didn't notice your post, i searched by the "assign" keyword before post this idea and i did'nt found any similar idea.

Sorry about that.
Not a problem ... but maybe the votes can be combined.
Like the idea's both and when there merged together there are more likes :).
I think this is now implemented. Not sure since which version but 8.0 already has this behaviour.
Thank you Tiago, for the remark!

Indeed! finally! it's implemented on version 8.0 :D

I didn't notice before your remark.

I propose that the drag and drop of local var creates automatically an assign.
Now you must first have the assign and then you can drop a var on it but why not create the assign directly from the drop.

The dragged variable could already be filled in the "source" or "destination" field... Not sure which one would be better!
