Dropdown search and dropdown tags with On search event to deal with API based calls

I want the team to come up with a onSearch Event property along with these two dropdown components (dropdown search and dropdown Tags) to accommodate the API changes and provide a loader kind of stuff to indicate user that something is happening at the backend.

Based on the Triggered event user can simply refresh the data sources or probably calls the APIs.

I'm not sure if I understood your idea, but we are currently working on a new dropdown server-side component that will allow you to create the logic to add a loader when you refresh the options.

We expect to release it by the end of July.

We're happy to inform you that in the last release of OutSystems UI (v2.14.0), we released a new dropdown component, Dropdown Server Side, that allows you to control when data is loaded and add logic to include a loader.
