Integrate sass-lang for css on service studio

Css makes wonderfull things but its not easy to work with when we whant to change something, changing a litle color can make us whant to kill someone, by integranting sass-lang on service studio we can get more power managing our css. check out more info on https://sass-lang.com/

Yeah, I agree the css could have more capability of using variables of the Outsystems Platform.

Yes. outsystems definitely needs a css pre-processor.

The addition of a css preprocessor would be an enormous help for theming and styling.
Today, at the OutSystems Partner Webinar, we've seen some cool features to adjust the theming according to your company specific styleguide. How cool would it be to have this generate an preprocessor file from which you can work from now on. I'm sure there are a lot of OutSystem front-end devs who jump through the roof if this is offered (including myself)

I was thinking to submit similar idea, but it is sad to see that this is also buried into dust of the OutSystems PM files :(

Hi Jasper,

Historically we've been sitting on the fence on this one because there was a Less vs Saas fight and because browser inspection support was not great. Those are mostly things of the past now. In the meantime CSS has evolved, namely with CSS Variables. 

We are using them in the new Theme Editor that was just release in Beta.

Unfortunately other much needed Saas functionality hasn't become a CSS standard, so this is still a very valid request. We have it on our radar, but to be honest it's not on our short-term roadmap (i.e. next couple of quarters).

I am working on some project and find it very difficult to manage and organize large CSS code.
If we will be able to add CSS pre-processors in Outsystems then Frontend developers will be able to save tone of time, write less code overall, able to make CSS more modular and stay organised with nesting.

We would look to hear more about this ... we're lacking behind compared to other IDE's. This is super useful for advanced developers and will probably catch a lot of people's attention. I believe this will help our community grow even further.
