Auto Update feature in ODC Studio
Created on 17 Jul 2025

Just like O11 Service Studio, it would be great to have an auto-update feature in ODC Studio as well under preferences. This would streamline the upgrade process and ensure consistency across tools.

In Service Center logs, add a “Quick Explain” button that suggests why the error might have happened (e.g., DB connection timeout, invalid entity reference).

Allow Exporting BPT Activity Logic to Image
Created on 05 Mar
Beatriz Sabino
1
Currently, OutSystems allows exporting the BPT Process Flow as an image, which is very useful for documentation and communication. However, this export only shows the high-level activities and does not include the logic implemented inside each activity. Adding the ability to export the internal logic of BPT Activities as an image would complement the existing Process Flow export, allowing developers to capture both the high-level process view and the detailed activity implementation.

From Generation to Autonomous Maintenance (AI-Ops)

Outsystems Mentor is great at building the first version of an app. However, technical debt still accumulates when human modify AI generated logic. The Future: " Self-Healing "Logic Dashboards. The Need: An AI service that constantly scans ODC environment for " Architectural Drift". If a developer creates a circular dependency or sub -optimal SQL query, the AI shouldn't just "flag" it - it should generate a "refactor merge request" automatically.

Customizable Scaffolding
Created on 28 Jul 2015

At our company we found the need for customizable scaffolding. While it is possible to have scaffolded screens automatically use a style we found it would be handy if we could customize the scaffolding to automatically put actions like delete with our company style pictogram and change the edit into an edit popup with a special column for this edit and delete. etc. etc. Now we have to manually put a webblock inside every new screen we create and alter it with the correct names/ids. Really hope this feature will be in a future version!

Online medical support to unclog official health phone lines
Created on 16 Mar 2020

Everywhere in the world, people with symptoms are being advised to call a specific line before going to the hospital. In Portugal this line is SOS 24. This happens because by going to a hospital, people with symptoms who are infected might contaminate others and, if they're not infected, they might become, just by interrupting the quarentine.Lines are clogged with calls from people who either have symptoms that do not match COVID-19 ones, or others who ask just plain stupid questions ( https://observador.pt/2020/03/14/a-que-horas-fecha-o-norteshopping-as-chamadas-que-entopem-a-linha-saude-24/ ). People with real symptoms might have to wait for hours on end for their calls to be picked up, which might accelerate their panic and lead them to visit the hospital. On twitter these last few days I've seen many portuguese doctors, nurses and pharmacists offering to answer questions posed to them there, to stop people from calling SOS24 unless their symptoms are 100% matching COVID-19 ones. Each person thinks their situation is very unique: "i don't have fever, but I have a cough, am I infected?", etc.My idea is: a platform where doctors, pharmacists and nurses would put their profiles - ideally with a link to somewhere online which proved they really are what they say they are (hospital webpages, or CVs, of linkedin - and allow people to reach out to them in order to ask questions that they would otherwise call health lines to do so. I think people will always try to call health lines, but if they're waiting in line ~4hours for their call to be picked up, they might as well post a question on this website and see what a certificate health professional has to say.I think this should be easy to build: first, a simple page with "I'm a doctor who wants to help" and a "post a question" for random users. Then, we would either round-robbin the questions that came via each professional in the platform or we would allow people to ask specific profiles of professionals available.

Allow Wildcards on all Searches in Service Studio
Created on 03 Oct 2022
Mario Andrade

It would be great if we could use wildcards in all searches inside Service Studio to help refine searching for something.Example scenarios:Sometimes I want to search for a function but don't know the module it is being called from or the exact name of the function only parts of it.For example a function called GetProductsListFilters and I search for "Product Filters" the search doesn't return any results. So I try to refine my search using "Products Filters" and still returns no result.I end up searching for "Products" or "Filters" and I'm left with a large list to filter through with my eyes.It would be great if I could use a wildcard such as * to help refine my search. So when I search for "Product*filters" I would have a more refined search that would eventually return a list such as GetProductCategoryFilters, GetProductsListFilters, etc...Another case is that sometimes functions and modules have technical names related to clients specific business language and it's tricky to remember how some of them are written correctly.Since the asterisk wildcard is used for multiple character searching it would be great if one could also filter for single character to help define the search to less results in these cases.Strictly as an example if one was to use the ? wildcard to refine the search for b?ll it would return ball, bell, bill, bull and exclude words such as bankroll. This would also be a great addition to the Application Search and Open from Environment module search. If an application is called Product Core Widgets and I search for "Product Widgets" no results are returned.Same happens with the Open from Environment module search when I want to find a module that I know it's a reactive widgets module and related to products but I am not able to find it using the string "product rcw" to return a list of all modules containing those words. In the present moment even if the module is called Product_RCW, since it has the underscore between the words the search does not return that module.I would find that using wildcards, or even regular expressions in search would benefit for a more productive workflow and help immensely to refine these kind of searches.

React - Add "Select On After Fetch Destination" when right clicking on screen Data Fetches
Created on 09 Jan 2023
Gabriel Cardoso

TL;DR: Add an option to redirect to Aggregate / DataFetch 's "On After Fetch" when right clicking on it.In React apps, when we are looking into an aggregate, we don't have a quick way to directly go to its OnAfterFetch action, and looking by the name in more complex screens in not very handy. My suggestion would be to have add an option, when we right click, to assist on this like we have for inputs and OnChange.

increase service studio tab limit
Created on 08 Mar 2022
Gwen Jamroziak

Hi, I've noticed that opening an 8th tab in service studio automatically opens a new instance of service studio for the latest tab. It seems like 7 is the limit per instance of service studio, and I was wondering if there is any way to increase the number of open tabs inside the same instance?Having 2 service studio programs open easily confuses me as I have trouble remembering where the module I'm looking for is opened... :-)

Created on 02 May 2019

Hey guys,I updated the demo of one of my forge components and I wanted to upload this. However I was required to also reupload my component itself, I even had to increase the version number! Even though the component itself wasn't updated.I'd love to be able to upload a new demo file without having to update the component itself.
