Neo in User Group as Virtual Community Host
Created on 20 Aug 2025
Murali Manoharan V
3
Currently, Neo AI actively participates in OutSystems Forums and has already provided 22 accepted solutions, showcasing its ability to deliver valuable guidance to developers. Building on this capability, Neo AI can be extended to act as a Virtual User Group Host/Organizer. In this role, Neo AI would: Automate Event Scheduling: Based on speaker availability and requests, Neo AI can create and schedule virtual user group sessions. Host & Moderate Sessions: Neo AI could act as a co-host, handling introductions, sharing agendas, moderating Q&A, and even summarizing discussions. Personalized Recommendations: Suggest relevant topics, speakers, or sessions for attendees based on their forum activities and interests. Knowledge Archiving: Automatically generate and publish session notes, recordings, and highlights for the community. Regards Murali

Return Date instead of DateTime when using AddDays() with Date
Created on 29 May 2025
Jeroen Barnhoorn
2
When using the AddDays() function on an object of type Date, it will return an object of type Date Time. I would expect it to return a Date here since that's what I was working with and AddDays() does not impact that (unlike AddHours(), AddMinutes()). For example: AddDays(CurrDate(), 1) Will return a Date Time, while I'm only trying to obtain tomorrow's date.

Add Entity CRUD Operations that Accept Lists
Created on 13 Feb 2020
Scott Keller

I think there needs to be a built-in means of performing bulk CRUD operations on Lists in OutSystems. If I have a list of records to delete, update or insert, I shouldn't have to use a For Each to loop over them and make multiple SQL requests. These should be done with a single SQL statement without having to cobble that together in OutSystems in a very error prone way. Other ORMs deliver this out of the box. It's time OutSystems does the same.

Ability to Deploy Several Apps at the same time in ODC
Created on 10 Apr 2024

At the moment the Deployment of Applications in ODC is done one by one. What could be improved here would be the feature to prepare and place running Deployments of Several Apps in one go.

Make yearly timer schedule possible
Created on 23 May 2022
Leonie Pelkman

Timers can be scheduled in a bunch of different ways (as shown in the screenshot), but running a timer on a yearly basis is not so easily accomplished. It would be great if that were added as one of the standard options for timer scheduling.

Ability to add classes to blocks
Created on 03 Oct 2025
Ahmed Fathy

Idea: Allow Adding CSS Classes Directly to Block Elements Problem: Currently, when styling OutSystems blocks, developers often need to rely on CSS selectors targeting the generated block. This process can be time-consuming and inefficient, especially when multiple blocks require consistent styling. Since the main block element does not provide a direct way to assign a CSS class, developers must write complex selectors to override or apply styles. Proposed Solution: Introduce the ability to add custom CSS classes directly to the main block element within OutSystems. This would work similarly to how we can add classes to containers, inputs, or other widgets. Benefits: Efficiency – Saves time by eliminating the need for complex selectors. Maintainability – Styles become easier to read, manage, and update. Consistency – Ensures reusable styling across different blocks. Developer Experience – Provides more flexibility and control for frontend developers. This would honestly be an amazing improvement for the front-end of OutSystems. Excited to see what you guys think. Thanks

Report People in community
Created on 24 Oct 2024

Hello Outsystems I am more active in the OutSystems community, but sometimes people post spam questions and answers that disrupt the quality of the community. My idea is to implement a feature that allows users to report individuals for specific reasons. This way, we wouldn't need to create separate support for these cases, and actions could be initiated immediately upon reporting. I hope this idea will be helpful for the community. Inherited Code Wrappers
Created on 15 Dec 2022
Patrick Baanvinger

(It is different, but alike to https://www.outsystems.com/ideas/10924/improve-crud-wrapper-generator/ )When working under architecture, we work in different modules which inherit. (E.g. BL inherits CS). This is mostly done using wrappers, which have to be made by the developer. As far as I understand @João Melo wants a right click option on the Created CRUD action of an entity. Which helps speeding up development on that part. But when working in multiple architecture layers, you still have to create actions in the other modules by hand.It would save a huge amount of time when we could select a function in a referenced module, right-click on it, and select an option "Create Wrapper Action". Which would trigger a wrapper function with the same input/output and include the original action. This is not limited to Entities, etc. But could be used on any Action/Function/Service Action/etc...It would be even greater if we could create the wrapper with a selection of optionsCreate Action WrapperCreate Service Action WrapperCreate Rest Service Action Wrapper (kinda more difficult because of the existence of the producer settings)Bonus Idea(Not limited to the wrapper, but also on input/out parameters of inherited types):When we inherit or use an existing item, Architecture dashboard want public action, input/output parameters, etc to have a description. The descriptions can be defaulted based on the action, and when available, why not copy the original description. An EntityId description is usually the same as the input parameter description of the instance. You can change it, if it is different, but 99% the original description (and the name) are fit for business

Order Modules in Service Studio
Created on 18 Mar 2019
Gustavo Luís Hinterholz

It would be interesting to be able to order the modules that make up an application so that the organization proposed by the 4 canvas becomes more evident.I suggest that this ordering is possible by dragging and dropping within the modules list of an application in service studio.
