Migrate Database to new server

Currently, we have outsystems installed on premises and need to move database (SQL Server) to new server.

Does anyone knows the steps I need to take for smooth migration of database to different server?

Thanks I'll take a look at it.

Hi Bader,

which steps did you apply from the mentioned procedure to get the migration successful ?

Our plan was to move the database from a SQL server to new one as the old one will be decommissioned.

Did you run the whole application reconfiguration part after the configuration tool ?

Our plan was to take the current production MS SQL DB, make a full backup, shutdown outsystems services, restore the DB on the new server, reconfigure the DB Connection strings using the dedicated tools and restart services and IIS.

Everything went partially fine but all the servers, even though they were connected to the new database on our new server were also attempting to reach the old database at the same time.

Is there other settings to change to be sure the server only points to the new server and doesn't have remanents of the previous configuration ? We thought re-configuring the connection string for App and Log DBs using the appropriate tool would be sufficient as nothing else changes (same DB, same user, same permissions, only the SQL server name was changing), but it's apparently not the case.

Any help is welcome.
