Hi,

I did try to use deep link on OutSystems 11 but was unsuccessful. I followed the following tutorial:

https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/Development_FAQs/How_to_Define_Mobile_App_Deep_Links

So can anyone from community help me with an example oml to use the deeplink in both ios and android.

Regards,

Manthan Shah.

Hi Manthan,

I don't have a sample .oml, but let me ask you what step of the FAQ where you not succesfuly able to execute?

One thing to easily overlook is that the app identifier needs to be all lowercase.

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I want to  use a mobile application for deeplink but I want to open another application not made with outsystems i.e whats app. So I want a oml example for that and it should work on both ios and Android just not ios as suggested by your link. By outsystems FAQ of deeplink I can't find where to add the deeplink and they have also not given a proper example so I want a .oml?

Manthan Shah.

Hi Manthan,

Maybe looking at the following demo forge component (and the plugin it demos), it launched on ios and android native navigation apps.

https://www.outsystems.com/forge/component-overview/1973/outsystems-navigator-demo-app

I don't have time to download and check the code on how it is doen, but at least it does start native apps from an OutSystems App, and that is what you are after, isn't it?

Regards,

Daniel

Hi guys,

It might not fit your specific case, but could be worthwhile to look at. I've published two components that use deeplinks to generate shareable links in a mobile app (Deeplink Mobile) & a redirect web page that handles device detection and will either open the mobile app or redirect to a fallback URL (Deeplink Web). Some inherent issues of deeplinks are handled with these components and can be used to open a specific page in the intended mobile app.

Hi Guys,

I have tried this but it is not working in iOS device but working in Android. I have followed all the steps mentioned in https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/How-to_Guides/Development/How_to_define_Mobile_App_deep_links but it is just opening the application home page not the desired screen. What I has to implement is we are sharing our detail page link from social sharing, once shared when user clicks on the link and if the app is installed it should open the detail page. But it is not working for iOS, t gets redirected to the application landing page only.

Please suggest how I can do this.

Thank you.
