Mac Users: keep your version updated

Hi Mac friends!

I am a Product Manager at OutSystems, responsible for the Mac version of Service Studio that’s currently in technical preview.

Even though it’s a technical preview, we often release updates with access to new features and important fixes. That’s why we encourage you to have the latest release installed.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Tércio

Hi Tércio,

It would be great if the macOS Service Studio has also an auto-update feature ;-) I've posted it as an idea that hopefully benefits the Mac users in our comminity.

https://www.outsystems.com/ideas/7449/auto-update-service-studio-for-macos

Best of luck working on the fixes to get Service Studio working on macOS Catalina.

Keep up the good work :-)

William

Hi, I can't start studio 11.6.1 on Catalina 10.15.2 because it needs to be updated. Please advise.

Hi Germans Ribakovs,

As per Tércio's post above in this same topic, currently the Service Studio Technical Preview does not work on macOS Catalina (the latest macOS disabled 32-bit application support).

I have MacOS Mojave and I still get this error (see below).

Hi Sangeet,

I cannot reproduce the error you are seeing. Can you share a bit more about your setup:

  • what version of macOS Mojave are you using?
  • what version of Service Studio Technical Preview?
  • are you using an external display?
  • do you have multiple logged-in users on the same Mac trying to use Service Studio?

There are known limitations to the technical preview that need to be ruled out in order to better understand the problem.

Sangeet,

As a follow up, I will soon close this topic as it has served its purpose, if you still have trouble with the Service Studio Technical Preview for Mac, please create a new topic with the extra information requested, so we can look into it.

Hi Felix and Danilo,

As previous stated a few times in this topic and in specific topic on Service Studio vs macOS Catalina, the current Service Studio Technical Preview is a 32-bit application and will not run on macOS Catalina. The vision for the future of Service Studio on the Mac was shared here.

I will now close this topic.
