Can I develop an app on OutSystems for general public consumption?

I am looking to develop an app in OutSystems for small businesses to manage some bookkeeping activities.  Is there a deployment model and licensing model that supports this?  This app will not be for "internal use" such as an IT application, but rather will be sold to the general public.

Hi Jon,

Here you can find all the OutSystems pricing models available:

https://www.outsystems.com/pricing-and-editions/

But you can also ask an OutSystems Sales Representative to for more information.

If you want to develop a SaaS Solution the minimum you need is the basic license.

You can create multi-tenant application that your customers can pay a subscription for.

Daniel

Thank you Daniel.

Can I use the Free license to build and test or do I need to sign up for basic before any dev work?

Hi, yes you can, develop and test, but it is not ment to run production. There is not an official zelf service option to transfer applications written in the free edition to a paid edition. Of course if you decide to buy a paid license you can ask OutSystems to help with that.
