Agile Platform 5.0 for .NET and 4.2 for JAVA will be discontinued in 6 months

Dear all,

At OutSystems, we are committed to delivering the highest quality products and services to you. More than two years have passed since the release of the OutSystems Agile Platform 5.0 for .NET on November 17th, 2009, and the release of 4.2 for JAVA on October 6th, 2009. Meanwhile, we continued to offer new versions of the Agile Platform with exciting new capabilities. 

Therefore, under OutSystems’ support and maintenance policies, we are early announcing to you that the OutSystems Agile Platform 5.0 for .NET and 4.2 for JAVA will be discontinued in 6 months, by August 17th, 2012.

This means that maintenance and update services will become unavailable to customers using the OutSystems Agile Platform 5.0 for .NET or 4.2 for JAVA, or any older versions of both stacks. Technical Support will no longer be provided for these versions, nor will we be able to provide hot fixes, new patches or updates to these versions from then on.

We take this opportunity to remember you that all new capabilities can be tested in the cloud, or in you local environment, by downloading the free Agile Platform trial from our website.

As previously announced, OutSystems informs that the 

 - OutSystems Agile Platform 5.0 for .NET and
 - OutSystems Agile Platform 4.2 for Java

are now officially discontinued.

This means that mainstream support and maintenance services are now unavailable to customers using these versions of the Agile Platform or any older version.
 
Should you have any questions or if you need any information regarding the upgrade process, please don't hesitate in contacting your OutSystems Partner or OutSystems Account Manager.

Let me also remind you that version 7.0 of the Agile Platform (for both the .Net and Java stacks) is live since May 10, 2012 and it includes some major improvements. You can check all the details here.
