Doubts related to Outsystems Free Edition

1. Can we deploy an application outside the platform which we made in OutSystems Service Studio in Free Edition? If we can do it in free version please tell me the steps for the same.

2. Can we change the URL provided by OutSystems personal environment in free edition? If I was not wrong  it is available for paid version only right? But if it is possible in free version please let me know the steps how to do this.

3. Can we restore the deleted application in OutSystems?

Hello Chetna,

For question number 1, yes you can do this but with help of Forge. You will need to upload your application to OutSystems Forge then install it to enterprise environment after that you can delete it from Forge.

Please note that once you uploaded your application to forge it will public for everyone until you delete it again.

You can check this post:

For question 2, no you will not able to change URL. If you are thinking about SEO its available only for paid licenses.

For question 3, you can try this Forge component but it is not supported by OutSystems

Hi,

Although the answers from @Mostafa Othman are not incorrect, they are incomplete.

So let me add to it.

Question 1

  • Yes, the Forge is a way to move applications from PE to Enterprise. Be aware that for a time being, your applications are available for the WHOLE community to download.
  • Data is not transferred, only applications.
  • If you have many applications to migrate this is cumbersome, I can ask OutSystems to help.

Question 3

  • Yes that works perfectly, even if not supported by OutSystems, but comes with a big BUT... The data will be lost and cannot be easily recovered.

Regards,

Daniel

Hi @Chetna Upadhyay

I saw lots of question which are not solved yet and posted by you, Is this because you didn't got answer or you don't want to close.

BTW, it's a good habit to mark question solved so if anyone will face same issue they can also refer the solution.

Thanks
Deep
