Suggest extended properties in assigns
Created on 11 Oct 2024
Tiago Ribeiro

As a developer, I find myself constantly using properties of lists and data actions like `. Empty ` and `. IsDataFetched `. When assigning to a boolean variable, Service Studio could suggest this properties. See in the following example that I wanted the `Tickets.Empty` property, but it was not suggested.

Created on 31 Jan 2020

Hi all,On Reactive web apps it's no longer possible to add variables on the screen title, it only allows text.Reactive:Web tradicional:I think it's good thing to have because if a customer has a lot of tabs open, he has to open each tab to find the "order" that he wants to see. Thanks!Miguel

Warning when downloading an OML
Created on 06 Nov 2023
Vincent Koning

Since we currently have a large influx of new users on the forum that love to ask for solution in OML format I think we need to have some form of notification about the risks doing so. Please add a notification before the actual download informing the user that an OML can contain malicious code and that you should not import the OML in your Enterprise Environment. Malicious code will almost always be run via a timer that is started On Deployment. Malicious actions can be; Uploading information about your environment (or data) to an external source. Creating user accounts to gain access now (or later). Providing access to your environment via an API or screen. Running a SQL query that can delete your data. and a whole lot more Perhaps it hasn't happened until now (perhaps it has) but it is better to be informed and warned before it is to late.

Autopublish applications after upgrade
Created on 31 Dec 2014
Johannes Correa

Hi everybody.I don't know wheter this is an idea or a question, or maybe we don't know a tool exist for this situation. We, at my company, are quite new working with Outsystems Platform. Some few days ago I did a minor upgrade from 9.0.0.2 to 9.0.0.19 version. Following the Upgrade Guide is a straightforward process but there is a point where things can become complicated: we have to republish every application and module manually, being specially carefull with dependencies.I think it would be really nice that this process could be automated as a taks performed inside the platform. What do you think?

One-click beautify code
Created on 02 Jul 2018
Sam Rijkers

Hello everyone,Currently, we have the option to align and distribute the items in an action flow by selecting multiple items, and right-click the selection subsequently. But I think there is room for some improvement. I'm not sure if it's feasible (for bigger action flows), but I thought it would be nice if there was an option to beautify your produced code with one click, based on some common best practices. For me, it increases readability if the spacing between items in an actionflow is the constant for example. In the image below I exaggerated the issue a bit, but it clarifies the idea that I'd like to suggest.I'm curious to hear other thoughts on this topic.Sam

[Service Studio] Find usages of design elements
Created on 29 Dec 2016

In order to clean a project, sometimes we require to go to each eSpace, each action and check if there is any usage of, for instance, comment comment element. It would save a lot of time if we could list all of the usages of Advanced Queries, Comments, Aggregates and so on.Cheers

Rollback lifetime deployments.
Created on 17 Jan 2019
Roman

I feel like a rollback or retract lifetime feature might be extremely beneficial for large applications with lots of dependencies. Currently, if I deploy a long deployment plan and something goes wrong in prod I have to either fix it immediately or manually rollback to a previous version for each module that was published. I want to be able to rollback or rather retract the last deploy with a button click.

Bidirectional Design-Sync

A native service studio plugin for Figma that doesn't just "import" but "links" components. Changing a padding value or a colour token in Figma should trigger a " suggested update" in Service Studio, allowing for" live code sync "between the design tool and the low- code IDE.
