App deleted in christmas holidays

Good Morning...


We had the small app, in our account (https://personal-tj8adblc.outsystemscloud.com/Vitacora/) in this last december 2025 we go vacations by chritsmas holydays ... now in past monday 12 january 2026, the app was deleted with its database.


PLEASE, PLEASE , PLEASE If yours, please, restore the app and tha database (or a least send us to my email the database) VERY VERY THANSK YOU.

Hi,

Personal Environments are still available in OutSystems. However, they can be automatically deactivated after a period of inactivity (typically around 15 days without usage).

To help you understand better, please check the following:

  1. Verify the status of your Personal Environment
    • Log in to your OutSystems account and access the OutSystems platform page
    • If the environment is only deactivated, you should see an option to reactivate or “wake up” the Personal Environment.
  2. Reactivate the environment
    • If a suspension message is displayed, use the reactivation option. Please note that this process may take some time to complete, so allow a few minutes and try again.
  3. Environment deleted due to long inactivity
    • If the Personal Environment was deleted after exceeding the inactivity grace period, you will need to create a new one. Unfortunately, in this situation, applications and database data cannot be recovered, as Personal Environments do not have guaranteed backup retention.
  4. Service Unavailable (HTTP 503)
    • If you are seeing a "Service Unavailable (HTTP 503)" error, this may indicate:
      • A temporarily suspended Personal Environment, or
      • A short-term platform issue.
    • In this case, wait for some time and try again. If the issue persists, please contact OutSystems Support by raising a ticket or emailing support@outsystems.com so they can confirm the environment status.

If you'll allow me, I'd like to share some more information, or rather, what I believe to be my perspective... if you'll allow me, of course.

Personal Environments in OutSystems Cloud are not intended for production or long-term data storage and are subject to automatic cleanup policies. If a Personal Environment remains inactive for a prolonged period, OutSystems may automatically suspend or delete the environment, including all applications and databases associated with it.

In this scenario:

  • The deletion is not necessarily manual.
  • Databases in Personal Environments do not have guaranteed backup retention.
  • Once deleted, restoration is usually not possible.

Unfortunately, OutSystems Support typically cannot restore applications or databases from Personal Environments, nor send database dumps, as these environments do not follow the same backup and recovery policies as paid subscriptions.

Recommendations going forward:

  • Use Personal Environments only for learning and experimentation.
  • For anything that requires data retention, use a paid environment or regularly export the database.
  • Keep the application source in LifeTime or local backups.


You may still raise a Support Case to confirm if your Personal was deleted, but recovery options are usually very limited in Personal Environments.

Today is Jan 16, although we can raise support case, I think cannot recover anymore

Hello.

This is a training environment that allows absences of 15 days. If you left for Christmas and returned on the 12th, that's 3 weeks. Still if you had IT User activity in the last days it should still be recoverable. 

You should have emails saying this, but to make it easier, here is a summary:

  • Go here and wake your environment (I see it is done)
  • It should return to the last status, all apps and data. (i see it didn't)
  • If the app is not there, then data is lost. There is no backup for Personal Environments. You will have an email with a link to a zip containing all the apps with no data.
  • If the link expired, then apps can't be recovered.


If you published before leaving and it was deleted, may be it was for other reasons. Again, look in the emails.


Extra note: For ODC Personal Edition the time is even less and no recovery at all is possible.

That's right, if it hasn't been deleted yet, we can wake the environment, but if it has been deleted, there's no way to recover it because it only for learning purposes.

That bonus account dind't apply for the chage from January 1 2026.

What do you mean discount code? Personal Environment is free forever.

Maybe you are talking about a trial license?

For this case, i think u must contact to OS support. Because, as I understand it, this isn't a free personal account, but rather an organization account with a discount.
