Jeff Newlin   
VP and GM, North America

Jeff Newlin joined OutSystems in 2011 as Vice President and General Manager of North America. In this role he is responsible for OutSystems’ North American business where he will drive continued growth and expand the organization. As a member of the executive team, he also plays an active role in the overall strategy of the company. Jeff brings over 20 years of experience in creating and continually evolving sales and services organizations as well as strategic and tactical operational management. Most recently, he held the position of Senior VP of Global Sales and Chief Revenue Officer at Silverpop, a provider of SaaS solutions for engagement marketing. Prior to Silverpop, he held positions at Cybrant, TenFold Corporation, Texas Instruments Software, and KnowledgeWare. Jeff holds BS in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University.

Mike W. Jones  
VP, Woldwide Marketing

Mike Jones joined OutSystems in 2008, as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Mike brings more than 20 years of marketing and information technology experience and leads the company's global marketing strategy. Prior to OutSystems, Mike was Vice President of Marketing for McLaren Software, where he was responsible for all aspects of marketing on a worldwide basis. Mike has also held senior marketing positions at Citadel Security Software, BMC Software, Sterling Software, and Texas Instruments. Mike has spent the majority of his career in the applications development space beginning as an application developer with EDS where he was first introduced to development methodologies and tools.

Rui Pereira   
VP, Business Development

Rui Pereira is a founder and has been the Vice President of Business Development at OutSystems since 2001. Before OutSystems, Rui led an Internet and Wireless consulting group within WeDo Consulting and, in 1998, launched the 3rd wireless operator in Portugal. Rui has more than 13 years experience in providing consulting services to companies like Unilever, Eaton Corporation, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, Applied Materials, LGE Korea, AT&T, Western Digital, Toshiba Japan, and ITT/Yellow Pages. He has also led an advanced applications architecture group of the Oracle Corporation, USA. Rui Pereira holds a BS in Computer Science.

Carlos Alves   
VP, Int. Operations

Carlos Alves joined OutSystems in 2001 to lead Engineering. In that role, Carlos helped developing the overall Product Management Development and Support strategy. Since 2009, Carlos plays a key role in developing OutSystems’ business operations. Prior to joining OutSystems, Carlos held different positions in R&D, IT and Computer Science research.
Carlos Alves holds a degree in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal.

António Melo   
VP, Engineering

António Melo joined OutSystems in 2002 and is responsible for Engineering, overseeing Product Management, R&D, and Technical Support. António played a key role in the design of the OutSystems Platform and has held several roles in Engineering, in diverse areas such as product design, architecture, quality assurance, and configuration management. Prior to joining OutSystems, António has spent 7 years at Novabase holding several positions in consulting and research. Before Novabase, still as a student, he was a Teaching Assistant.
António holds a degree in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal.

Rui Sousa   
Chief Financial Officer

Rui Sousa joined OutSystems in the beginning of 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. Rui is responsible for the Financial, Administrative, Human Resources and Legal Departments in Portugal, Netherland and US.
Prior to OutSystems, Rui Sousa was Financial Consultant, General Manager of CreditServices Portugal, CFO/Board Member of TCI Group, Controlling Director of HLC Group and Board Member of Inosat.
Rui holds a degree in Management and a Specialization in Controlling.
