Paulo Rosado founded OutSystems in 2001 with a vision to help customers innovate faster and fundamentally change how enterprise software is developed. Staying true to that vision, Paulo has led OutSystems to become a global leader and pioneer in the low-code development market and one of the fastest growing B2B tech companies in the world.<br><br> Before started OutSystems, Paulo co-founded Intervento, an e-business software infrastructure company that was successfully sold in 1999. He also worked for Oracle Corp, where he held multiple positions in R&D and product management. Paulo has participated in multiple executive education programs and holds a Master's in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Computer Engineering degree from Universidade Nova, Lisbon.
Chief Customer Officer
As Chief Customer Officer, Carlos obsesses with making customers wildly successful throughout their journey with OutSystems. Carlos team has ultimate responsibility for driving adoption and value and delivering high-touch expert services and support. <br><br> Carlos' journey with OutSystems started very early and has evolved in a number of different roles, always driving insight and leadership on all-things Customer and Culture. Prior to joining OutSystems, Carlos held different positions in R&D, IT, and computer science research. Carlos Alves holds a degree in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal.
VP of Engineering
In his own words, Nuno Antunes is "having the professional time of my life helping an amazing group of highly talented people reach their full potential while delivering a great product that deliver amazing results for our customers.”<br><br> After joining OutSystems in 2011 as a principal software engineer, he spent his first year designing, coding, testing, and releasing core OutSystems components. In his second year, he quickly moved on to defining and maintaining the OutSystems product roadmap, relying on his keen product vision, knowledge of market trends and his ability to understand field demand. Three years later, he was named Director of R&D. Always up for a challenge, he accepted his new role as VP of Engineering in 2017.<br><br> Nuno holds a degree in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal. Before he started at OutSystems, Nuno was a software architect at Banco BPI, where he led and supported the implementation of a series of successful enterprise digital projects. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a knack for helping his teams grow and thrive. Early in his career, he joined a startup and moved to an IT consultancy a few months later. First as a developer, and afterwards as an analyst and a project manager.<br><br> He sums it all up this way: “It is cool to build an amazing product and reach $100 million in revenue, but it’s even cooler to know you’re helping talented people to grow while doing what they love. VP of Digital
With more than a decade of experience in the software industry, Gonçalo Gaiolas has made customer experience, digital strategy, and software development his specialty. He is obsessed with creating digital experiences for customers that speed up their success, using technology and process improvement to create leaner internal operations and reimagining the role of digital in a modern company.<br><br> In his own words, Gonçalo Gaiolas is “part geek, part digital guy, part leader” who likes to “work where technology pushes business over the edge and where digital is no longer a service department, but a true leader in the company.” A computer science graduate from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Gonçalo joined OutSystems in 2005 as a software engineer and has since worked in or with almost every team in the company. <br><br> Want to know more about Gonçalo’s philosophy? Senior Vice President, Sales, Strategy and Acceleration
Bart Fanelli joined OutSystems as Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Strategy & Acceleration.<br><br> Most recently Bart has spent his time co-authoring "The Success Cadence: Unleash Your Organization’s Rapid Growth Culture" and as an executive advisor, specializing in organizational design, global operational efficiency, sales execution, and coaching methodologies. Bart has deep experience in building, leading, and scaling technology teams. The hyper-growth of one of the teams he led at Splunk was the subject of a 2017 article in the Harvard Business Review. <br><br> At Splunk, he was employee 320 and part of growing the field organization and company from $60 million to more of $1.5 billion in annual revenue, organically over seven years. His roles included Field and Partner Enablement, Field Operations, Global Renewals and Global Field Success where his operational mindset designed and built a Sales Best Practices, Value Consulting, and Market Specialist function from the ground up, becoming the backbone of the Splunk sales execution engine.<br><br> Bart is responsible for leading Global Sales, Strategy & Acceleration at OutSystems with a focus on rapid growth through sales execution and cross organization operational efficiency.
Chief Financial Officer
Tim MacCarrick joined OutSystems as Chief Financial Officer during an exciting period of growth in 2018. With a proven track record of delivering high-impact results at world-class organizations, Tim is able to perfectly balance public-company expertise, focus on operational excellence, and a people-based leadership style within hyper-growth companies.<br><br> A veteran finance leader with over 20 years of experience, Tim is responsible for managing and maximizing the OutSystems growth opportunity from a financial, operational, and legal perspective. He is innovative, well-versed in strategy development and execution, and passionate about customer success.<br><br> Prior to OutSystems, Tim held several global finance and operations leadership roles, including CFO and COO positions at Fortune 1000 companies including Xerox, Crane Co, De Lage Landen, and Qlik Technologies.<br><br> Tim holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Law and an MBA, both from Clarkson University.
VP of People
A people-person by nature, Alexandra Monteiro has dedicated her career to helping companies reach success by creating conditions for community engagement, building bridges, and breaking silos. Her motto? “No problem is unsolvable when you care about people and work to win.”<br><br> With over 15 years of experience in HR, Alexandra joined OutSystems in 2011 and together with the People team, she has enabled the company to sustainably grow from 100 to over 1000 employees—and counting. As the VP of People, she’s focused on driving her team to attract and retain the needed skills to support the high levels of performance of the business. But always with an eye on people’s care and happiness.<br><br> In her own words, “We build on the assumption that happy people bring their best to the business, but we also believe that this way we are positively impacting our employees’ families, communities, and ultimately our society at large.”<br><br> Alexandra holds a Postgraduate Degree in Career and Professional Development Studies from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Universidade Nova, Lisbon.

Rui is a passionate customer advocate helping large organizations with complex digital transformation initiatives. His work has been primarily focused on creating broad platform-level digital capabilities that will enable business transformations, based on new digital experiences and operations.<br><br> Before becoming VP of Digital Transformation, Rui had several leadership roles at OutSystems in sales, customer success, digital, and professional services. He has over 15 years of IT consulting leadership with enterprise customers across the globe, having worked with leading companies in Japan, Europe, and the United States. Before OutSystems, Rui was a Founding Partner at WeDo Consulting, the worldwide leader in revenue assurance software and a pioneer in the telecom industry.<br><br> Before WeDo Consulting, Rui was Practice Manager at Oracle Americas, where he led an advanced architecture group that served large enterprise customers in the United States and Asia Pacific. Rui holds a degree in Computer Science, a Master’s Degree in Marketing and several executive courses in management and leadership.
Chief Marketing Officer
Author, blogger, and evangelist, Steve Rotter has been leading innovative marketing teams for over 20 years. As CMO, he loves educating the market and showcasing the incredible successes customers are having with the OutSystems platform. <br><br> Prior to OutSystems Steve held executive leadership positions with Acrolinx, Brightcove, Adobe, and Motorola. Steve was also co-founder and CMO of Q-Link Technologies, a BPM platform acquired by Adobe in 2004. As a marketing trailblazer, Steve was recognized as one of the top 100 influencers in content marketing, received the CMO ROI award from IDC, and was listed as one of the top online marketers on Twitter.<br><br> Steve received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and has volunteered on advisory boards for several non-profit organizations including World Vision and A Child’s Right.
VP of Product Management
In his own words, Márcio Spínola “designs a vision to help customers go from where they are today to what they aim to do.”<br><br> Márcio joined OutSystems in 2009 as part of services delivery. His focus and understanding of customers, their pressures and their needs quickly landed him several key roles in sales engineering and sales, and his extraordinary work in those areas left their mark.<br><br> Márcio was responsible for the success of several regional OutSystems offices throughout the world. His full dedication to customers is the foundation for the transformation of 100 prospects into satisfied OutSystems clients. In 2014, he was named Sales Engineering Director, a role he held until 2017, when he became Vice President of Product Management.<br><br> Before being involved with consistent record-breaking growth and sales numbers for OutSystems, Márcio earned top honors in college. After that, he was a business and development consultant for several companies, undertaking projects such as the design and implementation of data consolidation projects with some of Europe's largest banking institutions.<br><br> When asked what’s at the core of a successful customer transformation, Marcio says, “It requires weaving in innovative thinking, fast validation, and ultimately making innovation part of your IT DNA.”<br><br> Want to learn more about Márcio’s views on digital topics?
