Carlos Alves

VP, Field Operations

Carlos Alves joined OutSystems in 2001 to lead Engineering. In that role, Carlos helped develop the overall product management development and support strategy. Since 2009, Carlos has played a key role in developing OutSystems business operations. Prior to joining OutSystems, Carlos held different positions in R&D, IT and computer science research. Carlos Alves holds a degree in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal.

Mike Lambert

Chief Revenue Officer

With over 20 years of experience in middleware services, sales and marketing, Mike Lambert specializes in go-to-market strategy, new market expansion, enterprise software sales, and strategic acquisitions. As Chief Revenue Officer, Mike is responsible for driving global revenue growth for OutSystems. Mike was previously the worldwide sales vice president for the Jenkins Enterprise company, CloudBees. During his tenure, CloudBees experienced 10 times monthly recurring revenue growth. Prior to that, Mike was managing director of portfolio solutions at Red Hat, where he managed middleware, storage, virtualization and cloud sales for North America. He was also CMO and vice president of sales at Amentra, a middleware consulting company that was acquired by Red Hat. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from High Point University.

Paulo Rosado

Chief Executive Officer

Paulo Rosado is Founder & CEO of OutSystems. Since founding the company in 2001, he has led it from initial startup to an international leader in cutting-edge approaches to the delivery of enterprise web and mobile applications. As CEO, he is responsible for OutSystems’ day-to-day operations, as well as leading the company’s product development and technology strategy. Before OutSystems, Paulo was Executive VP of Global Marketing at Altitude Software, a CRM company present in 32 countries. Before joining Altitude, he co-founded Intervento, an e-business software infrastructure company, acting as its CEO until the company was successfully sold in 1999. Previously Paulo worked in Silicon Valley for Oracle Corp, where he held multiple positions in R&D and product management. Paulo has participated in multiple executive education programs, and holds a Master's in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Computer Engineering degree from Universidade Nova, Lisbon.

Pedro Pimenta

VP, PM & Engineering

Pedro Pimenta joined OutSystems in 2013 as Engineering VP. Pedro holds a degree in Computer Science from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where he was also a teacher and researcher and was involved in e-learning projects at the Portuguese Air Force. Pedro started his career with technical positions in programming, project management and technological partnerships in SSF, EasySoft and Altitude Software. Prior to joining OutSystems, Pedro worked for over 10 years in executive positions at Altitude Software, overseeing product management, R&D, quality assurance, and knowledge sharing.

Rui Pereira

VP, Professional Services

Rui Pereira is Co-Founder and VP of Professional Services. Rui is responsible for project delivery, technical services, cloud operations, IT services, and product technical support. Rui previously held several leadership roles at OutSystems in Sales and Engineering. Rui brings over 15 years of IT consulting leadership to enterprise customers like Unilever, Cisco Systems, Applied Materials, LG Korea, AT&T, and Toshiba in Japan. Before OutSystems, Rui was Founding Partner at the global consulting company WeDo Consulting, the worldwide leader in revenue assurance. Prior to WeDo Consulting, Rui was Practice Manager at Oracle US leading an advanced applications architecture group to serve large customers in the US and APAC. He also held positions at Sonae and Unilever. Rui holds a degree in Computer Science, a Master’s Degree in Marketing and several executive courses in management.

Rui Sousa

Chief Financial Officer

Rui Sousa joined OutSystems at the beginning of 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. Rui is responsible for the financial, administrative, human resources, and legal functions in Portugal, Netherlands and North America. Prior to OutSystems, Rui Sousa was Financial Consultant, General Manager of CreditServices Portugal, CFO/Board Member of TCI Group, Controlling Director of HLC Group and Board Member of Inosat. Rui holds a degree in management and a specialization in controlling.

Steve Rotter

Chief Marketing Officer

Author, blogger, and evangelist, Steve Rotter has been leading innovative marketing teams for over 20 years. As CMO of OutSystems, he is the brand champion and leads integrated marketing and communications initiatives worldwide. Steve brings significant experience setting the marketing vision for technology companies. Most recently, he was CMO of artificial intelligence software company Acrolinx and has held executive marketing positions with Brightcove, Adobe, and Motorola. Steve was also co-founder and CMO of Q-Link Technologies, a BPM platform acquired by Adobe in 2004. As a marketing trailblazer, Steve was recognized as one of the top 100 influencers in content marketing, received the CMO ROI award from IDC and was listed as one of the top online marketers on twitter. Steve received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and has volunteered on advisory boards for several non-profit organizations including World Vision and A Child’s Right.

Bill Macaitis is passionate about helping SaaS companies achieve hyper-growth with a unique customer-centric approach. Bill has been a marketing leader at 3 of the 5 fastest growing SaaS companies ever (Slack, Zendesk and Salesforce). As Slack’s CMO, Bill propelled Slack to the fastest growing B2B software company in history. As Zendesk’s CMO, he successfully led Zendesk to a $1.7B IPO by growing revenues 362% and moving up market. And at Salesforce, he served as SVP of Marketing, helping grow the company to over $3B in revenues. Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign - College of Business.

Joaquim Sérvulo Rodrigues

An intellectual leader, Joaquim Sérvulo Rodrigues can manage the big picture while understanding key aspects in detail. He has been the primary architect of the Armilar Venture Partners' projects, and the person that the team turns to for advice. Joaquim has a BSc and an MSc in Electrotechnical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and an MBA from INSEAD. He has over 16 years of CEO and General Manager experience, and is a Board member of several companies. Joaquim started his career as an Assistant Professor in IST and simultaneously as a Researcher at INESC. He speaks English, French and Spanish. Joaquim founded Armilar in 2000.

Mike Pehl is a founder and multiple-time CEO with a deep understanding of the unique operational challenges that growth-stage companies face. Mike has built businesses of meaningful scale and taken companies public with minimal capital investment. He has served on the boards of more than a dozen private and public technology companies. Mike co-founded North Bridge Growth Equity in 2007 and is a Managing Partner. Previously, Mike was a Partner at Advent International, where he was involved in managing the technology portfolio. Mike served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Razorfish following the merger of Razorfish and i-Cube. At i-Cube, Mike was CEO and Chairman and successfully took the company public.

Tom Schodorf is the ultimate sales leader. He believes in transformational leadership that aggressively builds for the long term while getting short-term results. He has focused on technology sales, sales management, and business leadership both domestically and internationally for more than 35 years in companies such as IBM, BMC Software and Splunk Inc. Tom considers himself a hands-on field manager with an emphasis on ethics, profitability, innovation and driving results. He uses effective sales processes and negotiation techniques for maximum value on all sides. Tom believes that what is right for the customer and the shareholders leads to the best decisions. Tom graduated from Ohio State University and holds an MBA from the University of Dayton.agement.
