A cornerstone of the OutSystems ecosystem is the AI Mentor System, an ensemble of AI-based development and quality analysis tools that support development teams throughout the software lifecycle. The AI Architecture Mentor is part of that system, ensuring that all code adheres to architectural best practices, thereby fortifying the overall security infrastructure.
OutSystems also takes an in-depth approach to unit testing. It promotes the adoption of correct architectural practices and the distribution of functionalities into small, testable modules. Rapid feedback and stability foster a development environment that prioritizes functionality and reliability.

Typically, when working with OutSystems, developers are prompted regularly to publish their changes. This is a seamless one-click process that involves code validation and merging, supported by automation, AI, and analytics.
Upon publication, an incremental version number is assigned to each component, facilitating easy access and management. Additionally, when an OutSystems development team reaches a milestone, they create a comprehensive application snapshot by assigning it a major and minor version number, accompanied by a description of its new features. This tagged application is then ready for deployment, designed to manage all environment deployments efficiently.
