OutSystems Supports Oracle Database 19c
Now OutSystems provides Oracle Database 19c release support, providing you with improved database performance, reliability, security and analytics. This support applies both to the platform database and external databases.
Integrating OutSystems with SAP using the OData protocol is now even easier! We’ve enhanced REST consumption capabilities to allow you to import SAP OData swagger specifications right from Service Studio.
We’re happy to announce the general availability of our next-generation AI-Assisted Development capability, built right into Service Studio. Stuck in a flow? Not anymore, with our AI assistant, you’ll get inline highly accurate suggestions for the next step in your logic flows. It’ll work in any flow, anywhere in the flow, providing you extreme agility with no limits!
Now you can quickly check exposed SOAP web services documentation and their respective endpoints. The common ASMX page is now accessible through a right-click on each exposed web service. Just click Open Documentation, and you’re all set!

Seamless integration with Okta for end-users authentication
Now you can easily add SAML-based Okta authentication to your OutSystems applications without any custom development. Not only have we added the Okta option in the Users module — where you configure the end-users authentication — but with our partnership with Okta, the OutSystems application is now available on the Okta side. This means that with a few clicks, you can integrate both OutSystems and Okta.
Now you can have more control in configuring your IT users’ permissions. We’ve enhanced our permissions model with more granularity. You can now better limit access to applications and control who can create applications or give that autonomy to your team.
OutSystems UI version 2.2.5 is now out, giving you several performance improvements and a new UI Pattern - Button Loading. This pattern comes with a button widget that can be set to a loading state with a spinner animation.
You can now import a swagger file and consume REST web services even more easily. You can do it in one of three ways: manually add a single method; automatically add all methods from a REST swagger URL; automatically add all methods from a REST swagger file in your local filesystem.
We have released an open source accelerator on top of the OutSystems LifeTime APIs to make integrations with any CI/CD platform seamless. You can take advantage of LifeTime’s built-in capabilities, such as managing your entire application portfolio, and impact analysis that simplifies the process of deploying complex application portfolios across environments and extend them with Azure DevOps.
