Omdat we onze nieuw ontwikkelde klantportaal willen koppellen aan de vrachtwagens hebben we een pilot gedraaid om OTM, ORTEC en Talend, te integreren met wat er in de vrachtwagens gebeurd. Daarmee kies je voor volledige procescontrole, realtime zichtbaarheid en consistente datastromen iets wat standaardoplossingen vaak niet flexibel genoeg ondersteunen. Met een Webbased driver portaal hebben we geen vaste hardware nodig De App-achtige interface maakt het makkelijk voor charters en daarmee sturen zij ons gestandaardiseerde statusupdates richting OTM Zo dwingen we uniforme communicatie af, ongeacht welke vervoerder rijdt.

We hebben inmiddels een tool gebouwd waarbij we van sales-aanvraag (verkoopkans) tot inkoop-calculatie-tot project ons proces kunnen volgen. Met name binnen het project gedeelte hebben we veel logica toegepast zodat onze merchandisers alle stappen in een project goed kunnen (op)volgen. De volgende stap is dat we de tool ook beschikbaar willen stellen voor onze buitenlandse agenten en leveranciers, zodat we echt volledig in één tool samenwerken, zonder tussenkomst van enorm veel mail-communicatie. Het eerste wat het ons heeft opgeleverd is beter overzicht in projecten, inzichtelijkheid, overdraagbaarheid en continuiteit. De volgende stap (welke we nu aan het ontwikkelen zijn) moet uiteindelijk ook echt zorgen voor een nog efficienter proces wat enerzijds ten goede zal komen aan het verlagen van kosten, en anderzijds zal bijdragen aan commerciele resultaten omdat dit bijvoorbeeld voordeel moet gaan creeëren in onze lead-times voor productie.

For several of our main products an inspection or house visit is needed to analyse a customer's housing situation. This is important to properly prepare all related activities to correctly install an installation such as an airco system or heat pump. Initially, our planning functionality only supported installations that consist of one or two dayparts for a team of installers. With a home inspection however, multiple potential customers can be visited on a single day. Additionally, each advisor has its own specialties. This dynamic behavior affects how visits can be supported in our planning application.

The main goal of the DLG Customer Portal is to provide an application in which employees can find, view and enter transport orders together with attached documents and various notes and remarks. These orders are send to and received from an existing application using REST-services. Users can search for orders using an advanced search in which almost every attribute of the order is available as a search field. Templates are used for each field on the Order Entry screen. With these templates, the labels of the fields can be changed, the validation can be modified using regex, the validation message can be modified, default values can be entered, fields can be set to mandatory or not and they can be be removed from the screen. An existing order can be used as a source to produce multiple copies. The user can make changes to the field values of the copies before finalizing them.
