Workshop Information System
Carve Consulting has developed a new scalable solution for our customer which supports their daily needs for looking up spare part components and instructions at the different workshops across the company. The solution offers extended search functionality and the possibility to add individual catalogs for the different workshops in order to support their daily need for looking up detailed information on specific material numbers, part lists and catalogs. The solution holds approx. 110,000 material numbers, 33,000 part lists and 1,000 individual catalogs. All components are linked to the different train types and train models as well as the European standard for electrotechnical components (Cenelec) to support specific search results. The solution is currently used by approx. 80 named users across 4 different user types. Once fully implemented across all workshops, the solution will secure a coherent system setup which supplements their current IT systems.
