NextGen Certification Modernization
The NextGen Certification Modernization project transformed New York State’s vendor certification process by replacing the rigid Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solution with a customized OutSystems application. Initially we streamlined data capture, automated workflows, and accelerated processing times, improving certification and denial handling. In the next phase we launched a public-facing NextGen Business Portal, offering a user-friendly interface for searching certified vendors by capabilities and location, fostering transparency and better vendor matching. This modernization not only improved internal operations but also advanced NYS’s commitment to diversity and economic development by creating a more inclusive, efficient marketplace for certified vendors. The project laid the foundation for continued growth and opportunity across the state.
