FarmConsult supports farmers to achieve their ambitions in business development in a sustainable way. They were using applications which won't be supported anymore by IT in the future, like Microsoft Access, SAP NetWeaver business client, WinShuttle Scripts and storing process documentation on a G:drive. The FarmConsult project was started to replace these applications by OutSystems in combination with a SAP ECC, SAP Cloud for Customer and SharePoint integration. Besides the need for replacement of the applications, FarmConsult has a strong aim to improve in their operational excellence; e.g. processes and lead times are not transparent, no insights in actual work and work loads, lot of manual work and notes-driven process execution due to not-automated and integrated processes. These processes within FarmConsult can and should be better supported considering the availability of existing futureproof technologies and increased integration possibilities between applications.

FarmRisk is an application used by drivers to deliver their goods safely to farms. In the past, this application had been built with SAP UI5 on the SAP BTP platform. As this was the only application within ForFarmers on the SAP BTP platform, it was decided to replace it with an OutSystems application so that the SAP BTP platform no longer needed to be maintained. To replace it, 2 applications were built, a mobile application for the driver and a web application for the administrator. On the mobile application, the driver receives assessments of previous visits, can see if they still match the current situation and, if not, can give feedback and add photos. The administrator sees this data in the web application and ensures that SAP and C4C are updated.

The Simplified Returns application has been created to simplify the process of receiving and processing products returned by customers. The application combines and writes data from 5 different applications into a single frontend, shortening the average processing time with 60% and prevents data errors by removing duplicate manual data entries.

The PoultryChain application facilitates in registering and creating vaccination schemes, financial processing of invoices, realtime insights on the mortality rate and feed intake of animals. The application allows farmers to benchmark their performance with their colleagues, but also provides them with analysis tools to compare previous rounds.

The feedback widget allows users to send feedback about an application using a HTML based WYSIWYG rich text editor and screenshot functionality. Examples of feedback can be a feature request or bug report. The widget can be placed inside a block or screen to allow authorized users to send feedback. An action to handle the feedback will need to be defined.
