Monawork, a Workforce Management Mobile App on OutSystems
Australian engineering giant, Monadelphous, developed "MonaWork", a mobile app that improves employee engagement and communication for engineering staff.
BundyPlus, a leading Australian workforce tracking software provider, used OutSystems to modernize its core product, launch mobile apps, and add innovative features like facial recognition. Its mobile app brings workforce management into the field to connect remote workers.
BundyPlus is a leading Australian workforce tracking software provider, with cloud, mobile, and on-premises solutions. The company needed to modernize its legacy application, including moving to the Cloud and launching a mobile app.
“We use OutSystems because we want to work smarter, not harder. As a result, our ability to develop and deploy across our environments is phenomenal. In the past, a task that might have taken us a day or two to develop can literally now be done in minutes."
Faced with the challenge of re-skilling its whole developer team, the company investigated modern application development platforms and discovered that OutSystems would help it move to the Cloud and deliver mobile apps with great UIs, all from a single IDE and skill set. With OutSystems, re-skilling the development team was suddenly much less of a challenge.
"We use OutSystems because we want to work smarter, not harder,” explains Steve Jordan, Technical Director at BundyPlus. “Our ability to develop and deploy across our environments is phenomenal. In the past, a task that might have taken us a day or two to develop can literally now be done in minutes.”
The first version of BundyPlus’ mobile app was ready in just three months, and the development team continually enhances all apps with frequent releases.
With increasing mobility and remote working, uptake of the mobile app has been tremendous, representing a significant revenue stream through the pandemic and beyond.
BundyPlus has added facial recognition and temperature measurement features to its employee terminals, so users have contactless clock-in, and companies and employees benefit from extra infection protection. If an employee clocks in with a high temperature, a workflow alerts managers.
BundyPlus’ developers used components from the OutSystems Forge to integrate these new features in just a day or two.
As Steve explains, BundyPlus has used OutSystems throughout the entire business. “Not only have we created an incredible Cloud, mobile, and IoT platform, but we've also developed our in-house tools. Our CRM, our asset tracking, our licensing, our billing, our repairs, everything is now on OutSystems.”
